Bimal Dharmasena

Bimal specialises in macroeconomics, policy, and financial markets. He has worked extensively on the G7 and the euro area, and has contributed importantly to a number of the firm’s major studies and research reports. Prior to joining Llewellyn Consulting, Bimal worked for the Centre for Policy Studies, focusing on public debt dynamics, financial regulation, and economic growth; and he was a co-author of Conditions for Growth: what governments can do to promote long-term growth. Bimal is leading the firm’s work on financial repression, collateral issues, and structural trends in labour markets, and has a lead responsibility for our monthly Economic and Financial Market Risks product.
 

Bimal holds a first class honours degree in Economics from the University of Southampton, and an MSc with Distinction from the London School of Economics (LSE).
